Hey all!
Though, the forum is not new to me, I'm newly a member to the forum.
I'm a hand gunner from the Lakes Region of NH. I have been shooting since I was 12 and bought my first handgun as soon as I was both of age, and had the funds. (full sized 1911)
I now own a dozen handguns, including four Smiths. (460V, 66Combat, 4006, 1006)
I have loved crafting with my hands since middle school, and particularly working metal since high school. I became a machinist in 2007 and became the head programmer in my department in 2012.
Being a machinist, I have found my taste in firearms to be a tad biased. I just cannot get into plastic guns. Injection molding will never replace a well machined chunk of metal in my safe. No offense to the plastic world, just not my thing.
Anyway..
I am here to discuss machining ideas, smithing ideas, s&w firearm experience and to try to be a functioning part of what appears to be a great community of firearms enthusiasts!
