I have recently seen 2 of these before i bid, which i dont usually check as New Hampshire has no restrictions.

I emailed sellers and asked why? I got 1 response,
I realize sellers can pick and choose where they want to do business for any reason, that said i cant understand why?
Could it be New Hampshire chose the wrong political party in the last election? They dont even have to collect tax from NH!
Hey, sellers are free to choose, and i'm onboard with their rights.
Any other ideas why?

That's the dumbest response I've ever heard. Lots of sellers won't sell to NY. I contact them and explain that they are shipping to an FFL in NY like they'd ship to an FFL in any other state. And their liability stops there. The receiving FFL has to verify that it's legal before transferring it to buyer. At that point they've all agreed to let me bid.

I noticed a Gunbroker seller (parts) had a sign in the background of the picture stating no sales to Illinois. My first thought was that it was a response to the weird laws, but farther down in the ad he explained that he had too many sales to Chicago where payment was stopped or reversed after the merchandise was shipped. Whether that's true I couldn't say, but at least it made sense. Something over 25% of guns recovered in street crime in Chi last year were DIY laser printer plus Glock parts kits, according to the PD. I suppose someone supplying guns to gangs might cheat a merchant as well.

Some ammo sellers won't sell to CT. I've always sent a copy of my carry license and no problem

I think it may be a protest against New Hampshire's sales tax practices. Some years ago I bought something from an online estate auction and immediately got hammered with NH sales tax. I've not been near a NH sale since.

Strange...did you check to see that New Hampshire does NOT have a sales tax?

I would tell that seller to stick his goods where the sun don't shine. What ignorance, NH is at the very top of the 2A friendly list, much higher than most of the so-called free states. Look up stupid in your Funk and Wagnall and there's a picture of that guy.

Wow, he must be a politician to use that much effort and that much space on a page to say nothing. A smiley face emoji would have been more of an intelligent response.

Curious - does he sell to CA, NY, IL, WA, MA or any number of states that are far worse than other states?

NH is pretty much gunowner paradise.

Sounds like the seller just doesn't want to do business with left leaning states and the residents who vote for them. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but it is his choice.

According to the CATO Institute
New Hampshire is the #1 State for "Freedom"
& is the Only New England state so inclined

Hardly "Left Leaning" at all

I've seen sellers declare they won't sell to anyone in Maryland, and that too mystifies me. Our gun laws can be vexing, and some of them are downright strange, but in general, they're not hard to understand. Some handguns are banned, as are some so-called "assault weapons", and there is a ten-round magazine capacity limit, but there are exceptions and loopholes with each of those laws.

For example, you cannot dispose of or acquire a magazine holding more than ten rounds within the state, but there is no apparent prohibition on buying mags out-of-state and bringing them in. And you can keep any mags you owned before that restriction took effect. AR-15s and their clones are banned…except for heavy barrel models. So you can buy an AR HBAR legally with no restrictions. (I'm not defending this silliness, just explaining it.)

Serious gun buyers or collectors here are very familiar with our laws, as are dealers. They're a PITA (especially since the majority of "gun crime" in this state originates in Baltimore and few counties adjacent to Washington, D.C.) but not impossible to live with, and shouldn't deter anyone from engaging in lawful commerce.

Keep in mind that I'm in CA and read "will not sell" quite often. Not only from individuals but on line stores. IIRC Sportsmans refused to sell me an M1 Carbine "L type" flip rear sight because it was an "assault weapon" part. So I feel your pain, so to speak.

What you've cataloged as being not much of anything to deal with is likely more than enough to dissuade a seller who lives in a "free state" and is used to selling mags, ammo and guns without having to look at the fine print.

A matter of perspective I suppose. Or what one is used to.

Same here, I've been looking for a 5" Classic DX for a long time.. I found one in Idaho on an on line auction, and put in credit card numbers and all, went to submit a bid and same thing,, so basically, we have sellers who refuse to sell a perfectly legal firearm, to a lawful buyer... really just doing the work of gun banners
