Excellent points. I used to do the same. Now I have gone to the other extreme. I just carry a set of Hogue camo-lamo finger groove j-frame grips.

"inadvertent actuation"? "just bump the mag catch button"? You probably won't like to read this, but if you press the button while you are firing and the mag falls out, everything is functioning fine but the operator.
