my dad has an old iver johnson 22 revovler. Its the sealed 8 with the 2.5 inch barrel. Well when you pull the trigger it hangs up and you have to push it back forward to fire agian. any ideas on what to check or do to it?

i've been using flitz all metal polish and their microfiber cloth. apply a small amount with a paper towel grab the cloth and use the good ole wax on wax off method.
