I love all my older S&W pistols but for todays subcompact carry I love my Ruger EC9s though I never hear anyone talk about them. They have the higher capacity MAX-9 but I prefer the slimmer grip for concealability. I have carried my pistol to gun stores and compared competing 9mm sub compacts...
Of course this was a long long time ago but my recollection is that the FBI conducted their own torture test of the 10mm in their trials of different 10mm pistols. So I dont think the magazine people were the only ones to stress the S&W 10mm pistols.
That pretty interesting. I have owned a 1006 and a 4506-01 for thirty years and only shot one or two magazines through them both. I'd say the 1006 is my favorite and bought all the reloading tools necessary to do a lot of reloading but never got around to shooting it much. I guess I...
I spent four practice sessions with a friend shooting an old Mod-10
38 special and due to arthritic joints and weakness the double action
trigger was just too much effort. Shooting single action was not an option
because the trigger finger sensitivity was low and the gun would
go off...
I think the most significant factor predicting the future of the .40
is whether mass purchases are continuing to take place by any kind
of group. I believe there are thousands of police departments and
state agencies etc that are buying individual replacements in the same
40 caliber that is...
Yes absolutely. Relative to the rest of the world.
Try and name other advanced or developed countries
that allow virtual unlimited ownership ( in terms of quantity and model)
of any kind of pistol or rifle.... like we enjoy here in the USA minus
a couple of states or cities etc.
So long...
Apparently soldiers have it absolutely the worst in the job of close
quarters combat when shooting short barrel M4 rifles and when they
engage in firefights with the enemy and are surrounded by other soldiers
shooting many rounds of ammo.
It is my opinion scientifically that the shorter the...
That is very interesting. NATO has not gone anywhere so why dont
I ever see NATO 9mm ammo available anywhere ? Maybe someone
knows of some sources. I'd like to try some out. I assume that is what
our military shoots in the M9 Berettas ?
I wondered if there were any particular SW models that were
known to be weak and have a history of problems with the more
powerful ammo. In particular I have owned a 469 for 30 years
and shoot normal bulk ammo when plinking and at the range
but I conceal carry +P LE ammo in it and I have...
I have a 469 and about 10 years ago I recall I got
real precise with typewriter white out and small brush
and tooth picks. It turned out ok and I think my problem
was that the original white had turned brown.
Your question seemed like it came from a reasonably intelligent person
so why in the world are you wanting a revolver in a semi automatic
cartridge like 9mm ? ? ? Get it right... Go 38/357 or go home.
I own five 22 cal recreational pistols and 3 of them have 7 inch barrels.
It has always baffled me why the long barrel 9mm pistols have to cost so
much more. If any mfgr were to do large production runs of 6 in or longer
barrel pistols the cost should not be more than about fifty dollars more...
FYI-
I carry concealed a 39-2 as it has the thinnest grip of any 9mm on
the market after my customizing. I removed the grips and substituted
heavy duty shrink wrap applied with a propane torch and then a stripe wrap
or two with friction tape.
For battle, I would choose the largest capacity...
I hate to be rude but it seems idiotic to me that someone would
knowingly choose a specially designed semi auto cartridge to
shoot in a revolver. the ACP part of the name is there for a reason.
Why not do it in 45 LC so the cartridge has a proper rim which
is more or less designed for revolvers...
You didnt tell us how much you paid for it ? ? ?
Oh and to the guy who hits soda cans as 50 yards... Maybe
one hit per full magazine of ammo.. No incentive to stretch
the truth here so why ? ?
