    Mine has been there for a little over 4 months now. Origibnal estimate was 12 weeks but as was said, they're right out straight and they do quality work. Should be worth the wait..

    Does seem odd that the inlay is worn in only one place but it depends on what you want. If you're hoping to become a warden, then it would be a nice piece to have. BUT, again, talk to the dealer and see if u can learn anymore about the odd wearing on the finish. It might get them to come down...

    You're probably right. Mine is an"N" 5 digit serial number somewhat higher than yours and lettered as shipping in November of 1972.

    I had my "N" 5 digit 28-2 lettered. It's a slightly higher number than yours and was shipped in November of '72.

    I recently picked up a 28-2 serialed in the 80'000 range ( 5 digit) and had it lettered. It shipped in November of 1972 to a distributor in Massachusetts.
