I had that same problem with a few of mine when they were new. Stored them loaded for a few months between shooting sessions and now they all hold 25.

I just put one in and the pull weight dropped from 5.5 to 4.5 lbs. Have not polished anything yet either, I wanted to see how it was just with the spring change.
