Put the JP Spring 3.5 kit in my MOE and only got the pull down to 5.5LBs. Polished contact points on hammer & trigger to mirror finish and she breaks crisp. Is there anything else I could do to get it to maybe 4.5LBS.

Got one sitting in my toolbox. Sorta crappy. The JP trigger is ok. I prefer the Chip or Timney.

I just put one in and the pull weight dropped from 5.5 to 4.5 lbs. Have not polished anything yet either, I wanted to see how it was just with the spring change.

The JP trigger springs are designed to get the JP trigger components down to a pull weight of 3.5-4.5 I believe. With the junk mil-spec trigger and hammer that came in your 15-22 you've done just about everything short of sending it off for professional work.

Try using a 60% moly paste on the sear group. J-P recommends using Rydol, which is a high pressure lubricant, IIRC.
I have used the J-P springs on both my 15-22's and have had zero issues, and the triggers are much better.

Now, if you want to have a bit better set-up, try this:

Pre-travel set screw

but use it at your own risk. I'm using it on my little friends and have zero issues safety and functionality wise, but you are messing with the FCG.

I like the feel.

Better?

I know that everybody has a better trigger after installing JP reduced springs, but has anybody put a pull gage to the trigger to see what the pull is?. My gage said 5.5 lbs
