Looking for a part for a Dillon powder measure

Greetings!

I'm looking for a part that I don't know it's name, and I can't find it in any of the Dillon parts diagrams. I just purchased a used Dillon SDB powder measure, that is missing the little brass colored clip that attaches to the bell crank that retains the failsafe rod.

Surprisingly, I can't find it listed on any of the part diagrams, and it doesn't appear to be a part of any of the spare parts kits.

Can anyone help by identifying the proper name, or help where I can find a spare?

The upper end of the failsafe goes through 11234 "lock link assembly."
Can you post a picture if that's not what you're looking for.
You know, I don't think that second part of that assembly existed on the older version of the powder measure where the powder bar was returned by spring tension.

The parts diagram shows a hole in the end of the failsafe rod. A "spring clip" goes through the hole to keep the rod in place.
You could use a small safety pin to do the same thing.

Call Dillon, let them figure it out. that's what lifetime guarantee is for. The guarantee is good for new or used presses. Dillon people are very helpful. I have 3 square deals and they have assisted in repairs with no problems.

Looking closely at photos of newer machines, Dillon changed the method of attachment!

Some of the failsafe rods are held onto the bell crank by a "dog leg" on the end of the rod, while others are drilled and held in place by a cotter pin. Unfortunately, my SDBs are of the earlier style that uses a folded piece of spring steel that rides on the edge of the bell crank, the failsafe rod tip goes through the whole, and the body of the clip snaps in place over the failsafe rod!

Looks like I'll have to get creative!

Call Dillon, let them figure it out. that's what lifetime guarantee is for. The guarantee is good for new or used presses. Dillon people are very helpful. I have 3 square deals and they have assisted in repairs with no problems.

Yes, call Dillon and let them know that you have an older machine and need an upgrade that has the newer fail-safe system.
The 'newer' fail-safe eliminates the springs that return the powder drop and is a better system. It's a Dillon safety deal and they should get you that upgrade for free.
They currently charge for pretty much everything now since Mike Dillon passed (family owned now), but if its safety related, then I believe that its free (?).
Contacting them is your best bet if this is the case.
OR....you can simply drill a hole in the fail-safe rod that you currently have that's big enough to accommodate the 'hair pin' and be good to go.

I haven't noticed any change in Dillon support. They just charge for shipping if the issue isn't safety related.

Nor mine, I actually insisted that I add a purchased item so that I could at least cover the shipping on the warranted part. I did notice that all their conversion kits have climbed quite a bit upward.
