    Problem with my 686+

Murdock, The gun would cock and the cylinder would turn once. Like it would if you were firing it. After that the cylinder would lock up and the trigger, nor the hammer would engage.

    Problem with my 686+

So I was cleaning my 686 saturday night, and I took out the screw just below the cylinder so I could get the cylinder out and clean it well. So I got it all shiny and put the cylinder back and the screw....however, now the cylinder locks up after one turn and it won't fire. All I did was take...

    If you had 1,000 Bucks??

Well its not a conceal/carry gun, but I'd get a Model 29-2, 6". Then I'd sit and watch every Dirty Harry movie.

Quick Question about buying a 686

I bought a new 686, 4" last year. I knew I wasn't going to get rid of it, so I bought new. I wanted something that I could hand down to my son one day. Its a fantastic gun, so I was willing to spend a little more. Good luck in your search,

    Handgun Safes

Guys, So I'm looking for a gun safe for my handguns. I don't have any rifles or shotguns, I just need a safe for about 8-10 pistols. I don't want anything huge (60" height), maybe something 30" height. I'm wide open for suggestions. I'd put my pistols, and ammo in it if it makes a...

    Thinking about a Model 10

Guys, Thanks for all the great input. I'm thinking of a 10-5, or newer. My wife has a Model 15-2 and a Model 63 which are great shooters. So I'm thinking a Model 10 would be a nice addition to "the family". Y'all have a great weekend.

    Thinking about a Model 10

Guys, So I'm making a list of guns I'd eventually like to get. I looked at the Model 10, did some reading and I'm thinking it might make a nice member to my collection. So of all the different varieties which Model 10 is the most wanted? I really like the look of this gun, I enjoy shooting...

    My new 3 inch 686-6, 7 shot.

I've got the 4" 686, 7 shot and it simply the best revolver I've shot. I bought it new a year ago and its just a fantastic gun. The IL doesn't bother me, I did change the grips to some Pacymyer and the difference is tremendous. The Hogue grips are nice, but the Pac's are a little bigger and...

    Where are all the guns

Four year backlog of orders are you kidding?? I've only been interested in revolvers for the last couple of years, so I'm new at this. However, this is nuts. Here's to hoping "normalcy" returns in 2016.

    Where are all the guns

Guys, I have no idea which forum to put this in, so I just picked one. So is the gun/ammo shortage ever going to end? I'm saving for a 44 magnum, but every shop I've looked at doesn't have anything. Gun Broker has a few, but not many. I'm just wondering what the time frame is on when supply...

    Pachmayr vs Hogue

I have Pac's on my 686 and I love them. The Hogue's that came with the gun were just a little to small and narrow for my hand. Big fan of the Pac's

    586 vs 686

I got my 686 4" for $700 online, thought that was a good price. After FFL transfer and taxes was OTD for under $750. I agree with fyimo, I like the look of the stainless.

want to buy my first revolver, opinions?

+1 to the 686. Mine is 4" 686 plus and it is so fun to shoot. 38's are a breeze, 357 will kick, but the accuracy is next to none. For a first revolver, 686 would be my choice.

    586 or 686?

I vote 686 I looked at both before I bought my 686. The stainless steel is just so eye catching. When you shine her up its a sight to see. My wife has a blued 38 special, but I just like the stainless better. Added bonus is its a shooter. I'm not a great shot by any means and I was making...

Looking for Advice - Bodyguard Revolver

I'd buy a 357 magnum If your new to revolvers and your looking for something for home defense that both you and your wife/girlfriend can handle, I'd go with a 2.5" or 3" 357 magnum. You put 38 special rounds in it and you've got a great gun. The recoil will be very manageable and your...
