Inserting yourself into a shooting can have deadly consequences . . .

The same thing that would stop a bad guy from having a badge is the same thing that will stop a cop from shooting a good guy…ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. As I said, I read this idea in a book (non fiction), and as I also said previously, I subscribe to “not my monkey, not my circus” on situations...

Inserting yourself into a shooting can have deadly consequences . . .

I read this in a book, and it’s not a horrible idea. One solution might be if CHL holders wear a badge on a chain around their neck, and if they’re on the scene of an incident like this one, they can take it out to identify themselves as a “good guy”. The badge on say “concealed carry”, so it...

Inserting yourself into a shooting can have deadly consequences . . .

As I get older, I find myself looking at situations and saying “not my monkey, not my circus” more and more, and ANY situation involving a cop is definitely “not my circus”.

    Something unexpected

If you plant anything in that spot, you’ll need a good fence to keep the pigs out of it. My brother has a double layer of hot wire around his garden, and it’s been raided more than once by pigs and deer. I’m trying raised beds this year, and I guess they are close enough to my house nothing...

    Something unexpected

If you’ve been there since 1984 and this is your first rodeo with pigs, you’re one lucky S O B. The problem is they now have the ground softened up, so THEY WILL BE BACK. Where are you located in Texas? I have a little device for my tractor that can level hog damage back out.

OWB Concealed Carry Holster - M69????

I picked up a 329 Night Guard over the weekend, and this thread is super helpful on holster suggestions.

Expired/Withdrawn FRT Triggers AZR-15M2 100% Drop in No Tools Needed - ARIZONA REGULATOR

I swore I would never buy a Smith with a lock, but I just had to have a 329 Night Guard. I placed an order over the weekend for a lock delete.

    Whats your latest purchase? "guns/accessories"

After switching back to a J frame Smith for concealed carry recently, it reignited my overall interest in revolvers (I’m a 1911 addict). I’ve been wanting a Night Guard for a while (preferably a 325) but haven’t been able to make that acquisition happen. Last night, I was looking at a local...

    Price Check

You’re probably right, because all I know is what the guy listed in his ad.

    Price Check

Thank you! The guy is asking $600 which seemed high to me, but I guess he’s in the ballpark.

    Price Check

I try to keep up with gun prices, but I’ve just recently got back into Smith revolvers and am evidently way out of touch with reality. Given the current state of affairs in the gun world, what would be a decent price for a model 60 no dash flat latch R series in “great” condition but with no...

    Accidental discharge - Appendix Carry

As I said, my BIL is a cop, but he knows very little about guns or gun handling. He’s the most awkward person I’ve ever been around with a gun in his hand. His agency only gives him 50 rounds a month to shoot, and he won’t buy his own ammo. It’s hard to get better if you don’t train and make...

    Accidental discharge - Appendix Carry

My brother in law who happens to be a cop shot himself with a subcompact XD9 in the thigh while attempting to get his gun in a IWB holster in appendix carry position. He claims he didn’t pull the trigger, but I know dang well the gun didn’t go off without the trigger being pulled. The bullet...

Smith & Wesson discusses ammo shortage

I think you’re being optimistic that many of these new gun buyers will shoot 25 rounds before considering themselves “good to go”. It’s a case of folks don’t know what they don’t know. I would definitely say your new student is the exception and not the rule when it comes to training, but good...

Smith & Wesson discusses ammo shortage

First, I’ve been saying for YEARS that if the “powers that be” knew anything at all about guns that they would never utter the words “gun control” ever again and focus on “ammo control”. What still baffles me is the number of shooters who only keep a couple boxes on hand and make no effort to...
