I gave up & bought a Glock 45! The trigger is sweet compared to my Sigma. Glock shoots dead on target. I could not get a good group with the Sigma due to the NY trigger pull which is horrific IMO. If only they had a Glock trigger replacement for it.

If S&W is coming out with a lighter trigger pull on the SDVE why can't they do the same for the Sigma?

I assume the slide will not come off? If it does be very careful with the live round in there! It sounds like the extractor is messed up. I hope someone replys soon as I would like to know whats causing the lockup.

I am looking for a good in the barrel laser to sight in my Sigma 9mm. Any help is appreciated.!!

+P+ is a very hot load so, I wouldn't use it myself. I have shot a mag full of +P with no ill effects but, would not use it all the time personally.

Its really no big deal as long as it hits the target at 20 feet. This is good enough for SD IMO. Me & my son whom is a better shot hit the target in the same slightly low & to the left area on the target. Any suggestions? I can't believe we are both doing something wrong in the trigger pull...

It took me a lot of practice to get used to the trigger pull on the Sigma. Its a lot lighter than my Taurus 38 though. I can put bullets on a 9x11 paper at 7 yards. Its good to go as far as self defense IMO.

I picked up some FBI 9mm 147 grain bonded JHP Winchester loads today after reading it was the 9mm FBI carry round. 21 bucks for 20 rounds. Was looking for DPX but, they had none.

What are you guys carrying in your Sigma 9mm for self defense?

Federal HS 90gr penetrates 9.4" while 90gr FMJ will penetrate 10.9" I would rather go with the Hydroshok myself. You can also check out Handloads.com for different bullet types & weights. Also includes actual shootings & one shot stops with different bullets.

Youtube has a 9mm or 38cal water jug test on them. Looked like crappy ammo to me.

Thats a very HOT load..! I do not think its wise to use it in any handgun. I could be misinformed though.

Is anyone using this ammo in their 9mm Sigma? The specs look kind of good for in the home defense situations. Its an expandable FMJ round.

Sigma & Ruger are fine guns. Its hard to go wrong with either one. The more range practice you get with either one the better you will get at being on target.
