    Hello from Sydney....

Nah mate. VICPOL is now using M&P in .40 The revolvers are being sold in the USA by Bud's. The police traded the old revolvers for the new pistols and some people in this forum has bought some of the old model 10 and they came in M&P's boxes.

    Customer Service

Do you have the name of the person you spoke to before? The one that told you to mark it and send it back? Maybe call again after the weekend and ask to talk to that person and see if he can get it sorted. I wish you a good outcome.

    Hello from Sydney....

Welcome from Sydney. Where do you shoot mate? Sorry I can't help you with information about the 386 I have a 586 in 6" and a 686 that I have to pick up once my PTA arrives. Personally I like the heavier guns better due to the fact that they reduce the recoil a bit better and it helps me...

Model 686 with Silhouette front sight

What about metallic silhouette competitions? .357 may be just enough for knocking down rams and pigs. I have a 586-1 with the adjustable front sight. Love that gun.

    What to buy?

Hello Michelle. It seems to be a general view that .357 magnum for home defense is a bit much due to a few factors. The ones I recall are: Overpenetration: the projectile can go clean through walls endangering people in adjacent rooms or even neighbouring houses. Noise: the magnum round is...

    586 vs 686

But be sure of what you are buying as smith and wesson is currently producing 586s as part of their classic line. But they come with the dreaded IL and MIM parts. Not that they worry me much.

    Augen A+++++++++

Hello guys. Just letting you know that Augen is a great seller that goes the extra mile and he is certainly an asset to the forum. Not only he was kind enough to send the advertised grips to Australia, but he even offered me a partial refund when the postage was cheaper than what he thought it...

    586 trigger stop.

UPDATE: A smith in a local Aussie forum has a few trigger stops and screws in stock and has offered me a set for free! How amazing is that?

    586 trigger stop.

Thank you very very much! I will order the trigger stop and the screw and a set of side plate screws as there is one that has been forced before and looks a bit messy. Now back to try to find those part numbers. Cheers.

    586 trigger stop.

Hello guys. The trigger stop in my 586 target champion seems to be threaded. I noticed it was a bit loose and opened the side plate to tighten it a little and adjust it, but I can't do it as it seems that maybe the previous owner over tightened it and now it just stays loose. As far as I can...

    Just cancelled my 686 order

I stand corrected here. ICORE is shot in Australia and you can use higher capacity revolvers. But we don't have a club at least in Sydney, the closest one is about 6 hours away. But in Queensland they have a few.

Box worth anything without revolver ??

Pity it is not for a 586 6" or I would have been all over it. I am looking for one for my 586-1:p
