To ihump1961....your right...I just was very disappointed to have such a wear mark only after 1 week of ownership, especially since here in NJ the 1911sc can't be found and had to pay retail....I guess I'll give it more time and enjoy the fine pistol....

Your probably right, a normal wear pattern on the trigger but the black finish coming off the frame under the safety lever is disturbing especially after spending top $ for this Pistol.

Brand new sc with 400 rounds thru it now has the finish coming off the frame under the safety lock and one side of the trigger. Anybody with similar issues...

Returned a new S&W 627 PC for repair. Had trouble with the cylinder release lever and spent shells getting stuck in the cylinder after firing. S&W had a turn around time of 8 working days. Repaired the yoke, replaced the bolt and replaced the cylinder. Very happy with their service....will try...

Just sent back my 627 for warranty work. The revolver is only 4 months old and I've had it about 1 month. The cylinder release button came loose (not the screw) and the cartridges get stuck in the chamber after the rounds are fired. Prepaid label by S&W...now the wait.

Called S&W today to get some info on having a trigger job done and was told that they are so backed up that there would be an 8 month wait to have the work done. Hope your problem takes a priority for them.

Only a 30 day waiting period....here in NJ the average is 2 to 3 months but can go as long as 6 to 7 months for a permit to purchase a handgun.

I am shooting a S&W 686 Plus 3" Talo. I had my eye on the 627performance center 5" barrel but another 38/357 is in question. The S&W Model 625 Performance center 4 inch barrel .45ACP looks very interesting. Could use some insights to make in my decision.
