    X-stamp?

I looked at 2 different 657-2's last weekend at a gun show by 2 different dealers. Each one had an X plainly stamped on the cylinder. They were reasonably priced but I passed on them because neither dealer (or myself) knew what the X meant. Both dealers are a reasonable drive from my home. I...

Picked a pair of 38/44s today

Rodan, Man, I'd been happy just to know that there was one within a 100 miles of me for sale. Sheesh, and you got two, you lucky rascal ! Did you buy a lottery ticket afterwards, or did you think you had used up enough luck for one day? lol Thanks for sharing them with us !

    28-2 with a Mystery

I paid $600 for this 28-2 in January. Most gun shops I know would ask $900 for it, online auctions, I shudder to think what it would go for.

    My Ugliest N-Frame

I think I fell in love with the M28 the first time I saw it on a Guns & Ammo magazine cover. I have 2 Model 28-2's (4" and 6" barrels) and I want 'em buried with me when my time comes. Heck, I may need 'em -- ya never know!! lol Shame on you, Bill, for calling that beauty ugly! Sometimes...

    Model 29-2 Dating?

Sales people have their "talking points", doesn't matter what they're selling. I was looking at a Model 10-7 at a gun store I'd never been before. He said, "It has the heavy barrel, "service" grips, "service" hammer, "service" trigger, and "service" sights." I replied, "95% of them left the...

    29-2 Pricing Thoughts?

4 years ago I bought a lightly used, blued, 6", 29-3 for $800 in a private party sale. My youngest son went with me and said all the way home, "I can't believe you paid THAT much money for that revolver!" He sees the prices for a same condition (sometimes not as good as) same model revolver on...

My 29-3 that I just purchased..

Great find ! I have a 29-3 that is not quite as nice as yours and it doesn't have the presentation case. N frames are like potato chips, you can't have just one... :) I have six, and I'm still looking. lol Enjoy it !

    28-2, 6"

Congrats! I have a 6" HP and a 4" HP. They're not first year firearms, but I enjoy just the same.
