Congrats on the M&P purchase. I have a 9C and I have a "dark Earth" 45c on order. I've shot around 1300 rounds in the 2 months that I have owned the 9c.

If you call S&W, they will send you the finger grip extensions for the 8-round magazine. The finger grips made a world of difference in my shooting expereinces

I also purchased a M & P 9c last month and the test date was Jan '09. I bought it slightly used and I've put about 1200 rounds through it. No problems so far and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
