    Wood Stove heating up

Wood heat is a heavy supplement this year! The LP furnace was down all December, a long painful story in itself, but is now replaced. I use any deadfall from my acreage as long as it's dry. I feel sorry for anyone topping their LP tank as prices are near $4/gal now compared to $1.60 something in...

    "S" prefix M&P going rate

Now with pics "Edit" locked me up something terrible, so I'll just reply. Well, this took a lot longer than it should've (seller was a little on the fence). Box and stocks number to gun. Single address "Made in USA" on right side. No evidence of a lanyard hole or plug.

Randall Made Knives - My newest addiction. (Pic Heavy)

Only one Randall 19 so far, not exactly a collection............yet. rburg - to refer to your Randall as "mild steel" is probably fightin words to a hardcore knife guy, carbon steel (vs stainless) is better, high carbon better yet, tool steel best. Randall movie trivia: In the Dirty Harry...

Standard 4" barrel. No apparent prewar parts, grips are diamond magnas.

    "S" prefix M&P going rate

Sorry, no pics. I found a near pristine M&P locally, but these are out of my comfort zone for valuation. Gun is 98% with faintest of turn line, grips number to gun, gold box is very good maybe 85%. Serial number is early in the "S" prefix range. What would fair value be ?

    Tx Ranger 19-3

The narrowed trigger guard is factory on TR 19s. It can occasionaly be found on other 19-3s as surplus TR frames were utilized. Narrow trigger guards, especially in 19s were popularized by Bill Jordan, I believe.

    Interesting and instructive

Yes, interesting. Surprised AZ was that low at #38. CO and CT with low numbers, too. Given their recent events, one could generalize some conclusions.

Sandy Hook shooting a managed event?

Hoax? Probably not. Managed aftermath? Probably. I do know it was one of the worst reported news stories I've seen. Lots of conflicting information from the start.

    Oddball 657

Very desirable gun, usually pricey when found. I'd love to have one to round out my 3" N frame bunch.

    My collection...

Nice stuff there. Now that you've started, you'll realize the illness has no end. The 66 looks good from the polishing, but I see a lot of residue around the crane pivot, hopefully you cleaned thoroughly after polishing. Even though they're mild, Mothers or Flitz or whatever are abrasive.

    I will be retiring

Yeah, shows are depressing lately for all of the above reasons. Like my buddy told me "Why don't you start reversing the trend? Get a table at the next show and put all your 4 and 5 screw guns out there at 1990 prices." I shut up and quit complaining. I still go to shows hoping for acorns and to...
