Guess I got lucky with this one.$375 w/shipping off Auction Arms earlier this year.

I vote for the Nickle. Nickel just has a warm look to it, it's flashy without being abnoxcious.

Gotta have a M-17 and M-19. But I just picked up my first N frame, a Pre 27 6" w 3 T's. The blue is unbeleivable!! The trigger is the slickest thing I have ever felt. Not real big on J frames, I like to carry my M-15 4".

I really like my 4"ers, they just feel right to me. On the other hand the 6" do seem to produce a little better groups at a distance as Swede mention. BOth balance very well and are a pleasure to shoot. I'm leaning towards the M14 w/6" barrel for long days at the range.

What changed in the blueing process from a Model 19-2 to a 19-3, or is it just my eyes. It seems to me that from -3 on the blue wasn't as deep. what did they change?

Can't say that I have, but I did go quail hunting with a cousin when I was about 14. I got in front of him ( young & dumb). Don't remember much after seeing the quail come up out of the corn. So now I can't hear out of right ear and he never ate corn on cob again.
