This is a great thread...just found it the other day. My Highway Patrolman # S 128xxx #'s match, but it must have been a service revolver. Bluing worn out in a small spot on the tip of barrel, spot under the trigger-guard, and small spot just to left of hammer. also see lots of small "dings"...
