Just picked up a 380 Bodyguard (first part od March) without a laser and I got two with the gun and one OEM mag thrown in with it for $319. Don't know if this was a factory offer or a dealer offer but it was too good to pass up..
I bought mine almost 19 years ago after my Springfield 1911 was stolen in a breakin. I like it so much I bought a 5906 to match it a few years later. Paid $475 NIB for the 4506 and $400 used w/2 mags and box for the 5906. Love my 4506/5906 and wouldn't sell them for anything.
I have a 4" CS-1 that I picked up several years ago for $289. It has the bead blasted finish and Pachmayer grips. I thought the bead blasted finish was cool at first, but there are thousands of pits for residue to get into, making it hard to clean. But it still gets shot occasionally. Once...
I have a 5906 and a 4506 that I will never part with. I like knowing that I can pick up either one and the trigger pull is the same on both. Both are accurate and reliable. If they did start making these again I would be in line to get one. My 4506 was purchased for $450 new and the 5906 was...
They are great little guns and are fun to shoot. Just be sure to take a cleaning brush with you to the range as they tend to foul enough after 50 rounds and makes the cases hard to eject. This is due to tight manufacturing tolerances and not an issue to me. I had to put bigger grips on mine...
Nice revolver. I recently picked one up and thoroughly enjoy shooting it. Ended up paying $450 for mine. Just be aware that you will need a cleaning kit at the range with you. The bores in the cylinder get enough of a build up after about 50 rounds that it is hard to eject the cases...
I just recently purchased a 63 also (not my first S&W wheel gun or auto). It is a sweet shooting gun and yes you do need to run a brush through it after several rounds. Mine has the Magna grips, but I am in search of larger grips like yours. I do want ones with the S&W medallion.
Thanks for the help and compliments everyone. I've been a S&W fan for years. Bought my first one after I had a customized Springfield 1911 stolen in a breakin.:mad: Replaced it with a 4506 , then had to have a 4" 686 CS-1 (which my wife took over). Got a deal on a 5906, a...
Thanks for the kudos Froggie. I won't be using the 63 for self defense (my Bodyguard fills that holster). I'll definitely check into the Wolfe spring kit for it. I'm mainly going to be using this for plinking and our 22 shoots at the range. I'm going to get different grips for it as I have...
Thanks Alan for the information. Like you said there is no adverse effect on the frame and it didn't come off on the rag I used to try to rub it off with, so I'll leave it be.
I guess if the best way to lighten up the trigger is to just shoot, that is what I'll have to do. :D The things we are...
Thanks for the help guys. I forgot to mention that the box did not come with it, just the gun and a leather holster. Hoping she finds it in another closet sometime.
Thanks everyone. I am going to give her more for the gun as I am not the type to take advantage of someone in her situation. But even so I think I got a deal on it because it is in such good condition. Got to run a few rounds through it before the workday at the range this morning, and it is...
