NOPE! It's not needed on my 686. Mainly a target revolver ( although a very good one).

ordered the gunsmither rebound tool as well as a set of Wolf springs for my 686 from Midway USA. That should lighten the trigger up. You might check those out

I have seen steel revolvers that were polished (and looking really good) with Mother's mag and aluminum and I'm curious as to what effect this compound would have on the 642-2 any help would be appreciated.

Just purchased RUGER ARX 9mm ammo and found that it is +P. My performance Center Shield is about 4 months old and I never thought using +P ammo in it. .65 GR bullet. Is it safe?

I have been reading about how people will lighten the trigger on the SD9VE by removing the pigtail spring....SO I did so an took the pistol to my range. Fired 3 rounds and the trigger would not reset. Dropped the magazine, removed the un-fired round and reinstalled the pigtail spring. back to...

I have a .40 shield (hard on the hands), A SIG 1911 Carry Scorpion, a colt 380 but the most fun I have shooting is my Sd9ve. The sd9ve has a relatively long trigger pull but it keeps getting better as the rounds go down range

Welcome to the Forum and welcome to the best concealed carry pistol on the market. Imo. The M&P Shield is well made (aka Smith & Wesson) and the .40 S&W is the perfect size for CC.
