I think Smith did their homework on the sd,I have one and have buddies with them aswell.My local shop get's one and it's gone within a day,selling like hot cakes.This shop has atleast sold 20 of these 40's recently and none have had issues.I have seen alot of these at the range and all work like...

Try a name brand box and see how it goes.I have close to 1000 rounds of ball and hp's in both 180/165 through mine with 0 issues.I prefer Federal 165 shoots great and it's pretty clean.These gun's are very reliable in general,try again with some Federal.Good luck

Search for Apex trigger kit for the sd series pistols.Hogue makes a universal slip on rubber grip that should work.

That's a normal price around here for a decent shooter.750-800 for a like new one in my area,they are fine shooters and worth it in my opinion.Good luck.

Get both :D You will be happy with the 40,I sure like mine.I haven't shot the sd9ve but as stated it's pretty much the same as the 40 and the 40 is great.Good luck.
