+1 They were awsome,to bad they were discontinued:(
I think the sd is a solid gun,not great but good.I think the real difference between glock and many others including the sd is in the polymer.I'm a steel guy and only have 2 poly gun's,and both are totaly different poly wise.I think the sd will...
I'm over a 1000 rounds with my sd40 with no problems what so ever.I have only had it for a few months but so far so good.I hate glocks but the sd is far from a glock killer.Glocks have a reputation for reliability, smith's newer semi autos not so much. Now a 2nd/3rd gen smith semi auto is a glock...
:eek:I remember it well,I trusted the magazine's hype and got burned by a horrible firearm:(.I remember getting a shot off only to dump the magazine on the ground, mag release was easy to hit while shooting. After a couple range sessions I had enough and off it went.I swore I would never buy...
Well we need to try again if we want a decent future for our law abiding citizens. The Crone's of chi town won't stop they want all our gun's and want so many restrictions put on them and ammo that it's almost laughable.Lake Michigan is already polluted, beaches are closed daily for ecolie:eek...
I think Smith did their homework on the sd,I have one and have buddies with them aswell. My local shop get's one and it's gone within a day, selling like hot cakes. This shop has atleast sold 20 of these 40's recently and none have had issues.I have seen alot of these at the range and all work like...
Try a name brand box and see how it goes.I have close to 1000 rounds of ball and hp's in both 180/165 through mine with 0 issues.I prefer Federal 165 shoots great and it's pretty clean. These gun's are very reliable in general, try again with some Federal.Good luck
Thanks for the replys guy's.It will be a shooter,I don't buy gun's to look at or store in my safe.I have a couple lgs that I trust keeping there eyes peeled for a older one.I might just buy a new one and enjoy it till I can snag a nice older one in new condition.I have a 1973 28-2 that would...
I have been looking for a older 29 for awhile and haven't found one I'm willing to buy.My question is are the new production 29 classics really classics or look alikes.Do they have forged triggers and hammers?Do they have recessed cylinders, pinned barrels? Are the new production classics worth...
This is sad,but so true with the way our state works. We need to get someone from downstate to govern not these asshats from chicago.Maybe we will get lucky and chicago will sink into lake michigan and all would be great for the rest of the state.
That's a normal price around here for a decent shooter.750-800 for a like new one in my area, they are fine shooters and worth it in my opinion.Good luck.
Get both :D You will be happy with the 40,I sure like mine.I haven't shot the sd9ve but as stated it's pretty much the same as the 40 and the 40 is great.Good luck.
