    Latest project ready for action

A few months ago i found a guitar in need of rescue at the flea market. It was an Epiphone E series Bully, aka the cheapest SG Epiphone ever made. The pictures tell the story better than I can. This was what $20 got me, yes it's rough but everything is there, and it is straight. A ton of...

    Really enjoying my guitar lessons

The modeling amps have gotten very good over the last few years, The Boss Katana is the industry standard at the moment. Good for at home low volume practice, big enough for small gigs. Boss Katana KTN-50 50W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amplifier Black | Guitar Center If you are old school like me and...

    Really enjoying my guitar lessons

I have been playing on and off for 45 years. I will play for a few years, get some gear, then loose interest sell of most of the gear and then start over again a few years later. I am currently in the playing and accumulating swing of this pattern. This is my current lineup. And here is...

"Cheap" Things You've Bought That Turned Out To Be Surprisingly Good

Ibanez Talman Bass, I was not expecting a lot from it when I ordered it. I just wanted something to learn on, it turns out this is an amazing Bass under for $200, it blows away any other bass in it's price range. Fit and finish is superb and the tone from the P/J pickups is full and rich, it...

    Whats your latest purchase? "guns/accessories"

It's actually the cheapest low end Epiphone SG I found at the flea market for $20. It's a good starting point and with some upgrades can be a fine guitar. I'm going with a full S&W motif makeover, new colors and quality electronics.

    Calling all currency collectors.

I have just brought home a couple of small boxes of coins and bills from around the world. It is from my Grandfather and Fathers travels so no matter the value they will have a special place in the safe. I'm just wondering if any of it is valuable enough that I should put a rider on my...

Grail guns do NOT exist - they are like Unicorns!

I always figured there was no such thing because once you find the mythical grail gun, there is no reason to ever get another gun and you can get rid of all those others.

3rd Generation .45 Auto Magazine Value

I see plenty of 45xx series mags that are what I consider over priced at gun shows I smile and walk away when I see folks expecting a premium for them. They are not that common but they are not rare either. I buy the black follower models when ever I see them for $30 or less, maybe a couple...
