I've had a timney on back order with them for over a month. I ordered a cmc trigger at the same time and even though they said both were back orders, they sent the cmc one right away.
Midwayusa has them in stock right now, limit 2 per person, 16.99 each, figure 5 for shipping and handling, so just under 20 each. I figure its worth about 25 each to me so just made it a flat 50 by doing the NRA roundup.
The article you are referring to was an April fools joke on thetruthaboutguns.com. About the only way the batf could catch up on the backlog and get processing down to 5-7 days would just be to deny all applications, so it wouldn't be good news anyway.
