    Cylinder won't rotate

The hand spring inside the trigger is probably not engaged correctly with the pins on the hand. Easy fix. Never saw one broke.

    Taurus model 66 ratchets

I was able to handle a Taurus 66 357mag the other day. The sale's person would not take off the trigger lock. I noticed that the ratchets were not cut! They seem to be cast or molded. At S&W armorer school we had to first cut the ratchets with a homemade tool and then in some cases file each...

    New Shield owner sight question

This is not a joke put the slide in the freezer over night. Then put it in a vise use the biggest aluminum or brass punch you can. It seems you are the forth person I am aware of whose gun shoots to the left. I messed my front sight up with a steel punch, called S&W they sent me a new one...

    Double-action trigger problem 629-3

I suggest in the future ask where the advise giver got his information or knowledge. Over time, if a high racket is the cause, the chrome hand will cut it! There is a trick to cutting the correct ratchet and it is really easy for the uninformed or untrained to destroy one! You can use a mic...

    Cylinder won't close

I went to S&W armor school, NRA instructor School and was an armorer for years until I got promoted. On thing I learned is when you are cleaning gun in a little room is that you do not want to be smelling chemicals. Buy some stainless steel bore and cylinder brushes they will make short work of...
