    S&W model 36-1

I contacted crimson trace myself about the same issue. They sent a "form letter" e-mail that stated essentially that there is not enough demand for square butt j-frame laser grips, but they are always listening to consumer requests.... See above post. Everyone has gone to round butt air weights...

    WTS: Nickel 36-1 DFW $550.00

I'm gonna regret this but I found a new toy I will play with more. Prefer FTF in DFW area of course, but I'm willing to ship on buyers dime. Mid '80's non-pinned. "J" prefix S/N. I rate this at 90% Hasn't been fired much by how it feels, I have put MAYBE 2 cylinders worth through it. PM for...

    Leupold VX-R

Update:I built another AR-47 and started moving optics around. The Leupold 2-7x28 I bought a few years ago can't hold a candle to either of these two 1.5's. smaller, yes, but nowhere near as bright or clear. I think I'll look at higher mag versions of each for next optic acquisitions. Glass...

    49 nickel

Actually, I got the addiction about 1972 when I came home and dad showed us his new 38. He was a traveling salesman who had recently been run off the road by a "car load of hippies". He showed us children the revolver, told us not to bother with it, that he would show us how to shoot it, and he...

    49 nickel

Thanks. I'm finding the older ones and the custom ones (Lew Horton) are smoother. Is this just age? Lots-o-dry firing, or were they just made better back then? Seems to me the heyday was 1950-1980 for truly amazing American made steel, Massachussetts skilled labor at it's finest...

    49 nickel

Straight Model 49, no dash. Serial prefix ACM. When was this one born? I'm thinking about buying it. TIA swsing I'm addicted now for sure. And then there's all those K's and N's! (and I's, L's, break barrels....auto's! Will it ever end?!

    Leupold VX-R

from what i can determine, the dot is never actually "off", just at its lowest setting. And really, how much reticle adjustment do you need in a 4 power scope? It's all hype on Leupolds part if you ask me. My Mark AR 1.5-4 is an awesome scope...if it was illuminated I would not have purchased...

    Leupold VX-R

I've got one on an AR-47 pig gun. ADM QD mount. Nice scope, I wish it had simple on/off and intensity switch. I remove the battery because I travel with it and don't want it to stay on while in the truck. 30mm tube with 1" optics though, so not really a 30mm scope. They should just build this on...

    Victory data base

Buddy's father ran a liquor store decades ago and a patron traded it for a bottle of whisky. Rye I think he said. Nickel plated including the hammer and trigger. 38 special. 4" barrel. Nice nickel job. Better than my late vintage 36-3 factory job. I'll try to get more details and pics. I just...
