S&W model 36-1

Hello All.
I'm new here and this is my 1st post.

I have a model 36-1, SQ. Butt, and would like to put a laser sight on it as my wife wants to use it as a home defense weapon. Crimson Trace only makes a laser sight for the J-frame round butt.
Can anyone suggest who might make a laser sifgt for the J-Frame round butt?

You mean "square butt," right?

Here's the thing: square butt J-frames aren't so popular these days (now that the J is mostly considered a deep-cover concealment piece), so the makers of laser sights don't appear to think it's worth their while to make lasergrips for those models.

However, this little doo-dad would probably work for you:

I have a round butt 36-1, and it might be my favorite handgun. Hope you like the forum and stick around and talk - there're lots of interesting discussions here, and there's so much good info that I learn stuff all the time.

I contacted crimson trace myself about the same issue. They sent a "form letter" e-mail that stated essentially that there is not enough demand for square butt j-frame laser grips, but they are always listening to consumer requests....

See above post. Everyone has gone to round butt air weights and mini wonder 9's these days....
