Yes, but the OR carbine has a high gas block that will interfere with most free float handguards, so you'll either need one with a cut out or go to a low profile gas block.

There's the Daniel Defense, Troy and I think Midwest Industries. I went with the Troy. It retains the delta ring, but it does not have much to do with securing it. There are steel shims behind the handguard that grip the barrel nut and center the whole thing. See the other thread on this topic...

I got the Troy Delta rail and it really is drop in. I actually was having an issue at first and called their technical assistance and they sent me a new piece because they had a few that weren't in spec. Once I got the new piece it took all of five minutes to install. It should fit your OR fine...

Anyone have some Sport handguards to compare to other S&W tapered handguards?

The idea (for me anyway) would be that you could use the Sport handguard that came with it and not have it heat up as much as it does after a couple mags down the barrel. I replaced mine already, just wondering if I could do something with the (almost) useless thing.

It's very simple. YouTube it. I like the Magpul forend myself, that's what I used on my Sport. You can add rails to it, light mounts, sling mounts, etc. They are a great company and make quality, affordable accessories.

Well, I'm down to the last few out of a box of Federal 550 from Walmart and its never missed a beat. Even shot some old Winchester wildcat and old CCI that's probably 20 years old and no problems whatsoever.
