    Model 36 Square Butt

I have the same revolver with Grashorn stag grips and Tyler T grip. Looks and feels good. They make very nice carry pieces.

    New revolver and curious

I think it looks good with it’s “character “ the way it is. Maybe paint the front sight, find a good holster and call it done. Stag grips would look nice also, but I know how good those Hogues feel. A very well spent $300.

    The L frame action

My 586 (no dash) has the best double-action trigger I have ever felt. Personally, I prefer the look and feel of the full underlug barrel. The older L-frames are unbeatable, much better than those expensive revolvers with the prancing ponies!

    S&W 627-5 PC 8 shot

That is the purdiest revolver model ever made, IMHO. I love the barrel contour and bead-blast finish. If it were mine, I would get a hole plug and fancy wood grips like hkcavalier.

    586 no-dash Nickel price check

It is hard to beat the balance and feel of a 4” L-frame, though I prefer blue. If it’s as clean as it looks, I say $900-$1000 tops. The stocks are incorrect.

As close as I’ll ever get

That is a Lew Horton special. I have the 5” version, made in 2007. It came in the PC aluminum case with Lew Horton registration certificate. I just love the fine checkered topstrap! Yours is beautiful with the Grashorns, should be a great shooter.

    Model 686-4

The best all-around handgun ever made. If I could only own 1 gun, it would be a 4” 686-4. Conceal carry with the right holster, deer hunt with a red dot or scope, and go plinking with cheap .38spl ammo.

Korth revolver at the DSC Expo

I handled one at an IDPA match a few years ago, not impressed. I think my old 586 feels much better. More overpriced than a Python IMHO.

    Closest thing to a Birthday gun... 586-3 8 3/8"

Great score, congrats! 586’s are my favorite. My 8 3/8” is the most accurate open-sight handgun I have ever seen. Amazing with heavy-bullet 38 handloads.

    Double action light primer strikes

It should fire now, 1 1/2 turns is a LOT. Clean, lube, and exercise. It should be a fine shooter!

    New Python vs 627PC

If price is the same new, I would expect the future value to be the same. I shot a friends new Python, not very impressed with the trigger. Shootability goes to the Smith, for sure. I would also prefer a 686 over a Python. Just my opinion, the people on the Colt forum may call me an idiot.

    Clark Custom Model 19-2

I think that Clark 19 is amazing! Personally, I would prefer it over a LNIB unfired 19. I would fit a target hammer with minimum single action weight. What a shooter that would be!

    Pachmayr or Hogue

Hogue rubber K square butts fit my hand like a glove.

my carry build 36 (with pics)

It takes a little practice to cock and un-cock hammer. You have to start with the trigger, then grab hammer with thumb.

    the versatile 586 (with pics)

I just wanted to show off my 586 collection. 586 (no dash) used for IDPA competition. Hogue monogrip, fiber front sight, the trigger is like butter. This gun goes through more ammo than all my other guns combined. Shown with Safariland compIII speedloaders, Comp-tac holster and carriers...
