    Hamtramck, Jack Roy Gun Shop?

Hastings street 1950's-60's was best known for prostitution, mostly black prostitution, if a guy wanted to get laid and had $5.00 he and his buddies visited Hastings St, don't know about after the 60's because I moved away...

    Hamtramck, Jack Roy Gun Shop?

This is a great subject thread, having grown up in "Warrendale" Detroit....I remember "STRESS" well and H Rap Brown, who could forget... was sorry to see it disbanded. I knew several of the old "Big 4" squads that patrolled Detroit always ready for some action and loved those big 4 door Buick...

Looks and collectabily aside, which is the better made revolver

The 686 is pretty common maybe prefered among Bullseye and PPC shooters, that must say something.

    STS, what is it?

I shouldn't butt in but being in the Heat Treat Industry for a major portion of my life I want to add that Stainless Steel is recognized here and around the Globe as SS not STS...FWIW.

My 1st Gold Box Smith -with the box-it's a K-22

Hi Bravastar, I just bought a K22 for $300.00 but nowhere as nice as yours, I have some mild pitting etc but is a real shooter, very accurate out to 25yds, I stop there. I just saw one,a K22 Masterpiece, about like yours but not quite as nice the guy wanted $550.00 for it and no box or papers...

    SW 686 vs SW 66

Good to know you are nearby Joe, never know when I might need backup... I have a shooting buddy that has a 66 along with other SW's...he wouldn't sell it for less than $500.00 and its not as nice as what I just bought, so I am pleased so far... I'm in Allen Park every once in a while, buy my...

    SW 686 vs SW 66

Well I won the auction on GunBroker for $333.00 for the Model 66, the one with a little pitting on the cylinder and lightly chewed on wood grips. I will have $375.00 into the gun by the time of my first shot... The thing that drew me to the gun, other than its reputation for being a great...

    SW 686 vs SW 66

I can go $330...and probably will. I've never seen that stainless matte finish on a 66 before, usually bright stainless or nickel...the pitting only bothers me regards resale, if I win the auction I will try to polish some of it away... I don't shoot the 357's at all just 38 wadcutters (cheap &...

    SW 686 vs SW 66

I used to shoot a Model 52 no dash but had too many issues with it... I am presently shooting a Taurus Tracker 627 as 357/38 4" barrel and it shoots really well,it is adequate and very accurate...but it does not have that famous SW trigger action...so I want to upgrade and am looking at either...

    SW 686 vs SW 66

I will be shooting 38 wadcutters only, targets only... 25yds and closer...deciding which to buy... regards
