Hi Jim,
Nicest early 50's K22 I have ever seen with the box [also in great shape]! Now the toughest question...do you keep it in the safe, or do you take it outside to play on occasion?? Too pretty to shoot...too pretty [and I bet unbelievably smooth] not to shoot!

This one is a keeper...and a nice picture for comparison when someone shows what they think is a 98-99 percenter.

Thanks for sharing with us!
Paul

Hi Bravastar, I just bought a K22 for $300.00 but nowhere as nice as yours, I have some mild pitting etc but is a real shooter, very accurate out to 25yds, I stop there.

I just saw one,a K22 Masterpiece, about like yours but not quite as nice the guy wanted $550.00 for it and no box or papers.

I would say you did fantastic...

Let us know how it shoots...

Nice K22, and I agree that you got a good deal on it. However (..and I'm feeling sorta like a grinch for this), the grips don't appear to match. The left-side panel appears to be from a later edition, as evidenced by the rounded top when compared to the right-side panel. Also, the left -side panel appears to have a chip out of it's underside. Hope it's just the angle of the photos, but otherwise I'd say you're gonna be looking for a period-set of grips for it (@ $75-$100), which drops it down, in my opinion, to a fair deal. Still, they're great shooters, you've got the box with it, the finish on yours appears to be excellent; you didn't go wrong with it. -S2

Speedo, The grips are numbered to the gun but unfortunately they do have a chip in them. Since they are numbered I will keep them on the gun and shoot away. I still think I got a good deal. Good eye.......

Well then, bravastar, I'll revise my opinion back up to "very good deal". Regarding the chipped panel, there are a couple of forum members that could probably fix that for you, if interested; Kieth Brown and DWFan come to mind. I think that it would be well worth getting that left-side panel repaired. Regardless, that's a nice one. -S2

That looks really nice. I don't think you got hurt at that price, especially with the box.

I'm taking my new-to-me '53 K22 to the range in a few minutes...can't wait to try it out.

I don't have any doubt at all that I would have bought that gun for that price as well! And I would have been thrilled!

Gregg
