I have both a full size 2.0 and the compact and I love shooting both and find them very accurate and comfortable in my hand. For me I could carry the compact if I wasn't wearing shorts and a tee which is the norm in FL. I don't feel I need shootout round quantity in a carry gun, I feel I need...
Not to go too far off the original posts question....I have a Bodyguard and Sig 938 and have tried them with and without holsters just around the house to see it I liked it. I didn't really like it because I just hate stuff in my pockets and the bigger that stuff it the more I hate it. What I...
I just looked at my 686 plus and that side plate to frame fit isn't even close to how mine is. Actually by looking at your picture I would be very suspect of the frame as well. Hard to really tell in a picture but nothing on yours seems to fit right compared to mine.
I have had my BG for a few years and I like it and shoot it well. I have to agree with the shooting revolvers opinion as any of my friends that all shoot striker pistols think the trigger is weird. It has never given ,me a problem and I have shot it a lot.
I think it's a matter of what you like and shoot well and one should certainly default to what you shoot well. I love shooting my revolvers so I got pretty used to the BG and shoot it very well. With that said though the BG was purchased for exercise, walking and biking, so lately it now splits...
I would have that gun looked at, I have a Gen 1 and as others have posted I can work the safety easily. I pretty much can engage and disengage with the side of my thumb.
I think the one thing that folks are forgetting to tell you is that you don't want to push the release down unless you are holding the slide back taking tension off. If you somehow managed to do that in your hand that slide you be coming off in a hurry so hopefully not heading in the direction...
So for starters yes I have a CWL.
Walking your own dog on a leash you come upon someone with two Pit Bulls in the back of their truck (breed is kind of irrelevant). The man in the truck asks if you know who these two dogs belong to, which you don't. The two dogs jump out of the truck bed and...
I have been reading this and needed to add my experience. When I bought mine and shot it I thought damn weird trigger..... Well after deciding to try making it work for me I tried working with it and treated it like a revolver, i smooth my pull rather than expect the trigger to and I most...
So tell me if you all think I am missing something.. The grip screw on my 686 Plus is stripped so I emailed S&W to ask could i get a replacement screw and was told to send the grip back. So i replied back asking why I can't just get the screw, it would cost more in shipping then the screw cost...
You know this is a good point actually, if you're going to carry a 380 of this size why not just go to the 9mm. Sure I get slide pull and less recoil and all but when you really think about one chambered bad person with bad intentions you won't remember recoil. Sadly you likely won't remember...
Ok so took my wife and the new 686 to the range today, only had time to fire off 75 rounds (38s). This gun is sweet! My wife has never fired a gun before and after 3 wayward shots she got her grip comfort and shook the nerves, then almost every shot was center mass. My first shot was dead center...
The answer to why the 3"...it felt the best in my hand and wife said the same. I just had her pick them up and raise to a shooting position. Watching her with them the 3" was the smoothest move from sitting to raised. All of that said I am certain this will not be the last 686 or revolver to...
