    Model 18 value

Sorry no pictures since I am not the owner. I found two Model 18 up for sell. 18-2, 66 mfg. 90% finish and a 18 no dash, 58 mfg. 95% finish. Neither have boxes or paperwork. What is a good honest value?

    Presentation cases

Is hunting down presentation cases and cleaning brushes worth the time and money? I bought a 4" 29-2 that appears to have only been factory fired (3 cylinders only have the slight firing rings, every other cylinder) but it did not come with anything else.

    4" Model 29-2 Nickel value

I jumped on it. I have found a couple of these before in my area and dragged my feet wondering if it was a good price, by the time I decided to buy it was gone. I had a trade +cash so it did not hurt as bad. I'll post up some pics a little later. Now I have to work on getting the S&W 520...

    4" Model 29-2 Nickel value

I'm finding in my area using a BB for Gun for values is useless. Most of the time values in the book seem low. 100% for this one is listed in the book at $750. If that was the asking price this post would be "hey look what i bought" instead of asking value.

    4" Model 29-2 Nickel value

I know this will open a can of worms but idea on value? No box or paperwork. N serial # puts it around 78-79 area. Was told it has only been factory test fired.

    S&W 29-2, 6-1/2 price check

I have done some searching on this site and saw prices mentioned for other 29-2 but with different finishes. I am looking at a 29-2, 6-1/2 barrel, no box or paperwork. I would grade it at 95%-98% with a very light cylinder ring, orange marked front sight. From all the talks it looks like...

    Old War Horse

Ok, another question with my Victory (2nd pics). Under the wood grips on the metal (butt area) was stamped: HEBSACKER SCHAB.HAL Any ideas?

Is the Victory database open to be view by anyone? If so where is it located?

    Old War Horse

Of course my Victory has some interesting proof markings on it also. Anyone have any idea? It appears to be a Germany proof.

    Old War Horse

Texas Star: Not all Victory pistols were 38 Special ;). My Victory pictured below is a 38 S&W. This is the one I referred to when I mentioned "hand loads".

    Old War Horse

DWalt, Thank you for the detailed info. I currently have a US Victory pistol in .38S&W that I current hand load for so no problem with the ammo. I use it in our Military group shoot that my GC has each month. At 25 yds I can score 8-10 rings all day. Great shooting gun once you have the...

    27-2

Nice catch. I agree with you on the 3-1/2 27-2 but unfortunately people on GB are willing to pay that price. I was doing some homework by checking GB ended auctions and sold prices range in the $1,100 to $1,900. Had a LGS get in a 27-2, 3-1/2, 98% condition, no box or accessories. Instead...

    Smith & Wesson Model 10-4

Not sure if this helps much but there is a 10-5 at my LGS for $695. It is in the box and 100% condition.
