    S&W Old vs New

I'll have to wait 55 years to see if you're right. I wonder if my M&P will still shoot as well by then :) All I did was clean that old revolver up a bit , it probably hadn't been fired since Hee Haw was on TV

Your welcome, it was a blast. That old revolver was sweet to shoot and it seemed happy to be in use again.

    S&W Old vs New

Just for fun I made a small video of range firing a new M&P22 against an old K22 Masterpiece I recently picked up and brought back to life. It makes no real conclusions or comparisons, all done in fun. Smith & Wesson Old vs New - 1957 K 22 vs M&P 22 - YouTube

Got my MP .22 to the range today

They have them in stock at 44mag.com but they've doubled the price since I bought them there. I am not affiliated with them in anyway, but their service was easy and quick. When I bought mine there they were only 29.95 or so. I think now they are asking 59.00

New M&P22, What ammo during break in?

I second that emotion on the Remington Golden, I fire mine a lot and have well over 2000 rounds thru it. Winchester plated hollow points (1280 FPS) also worked well. The only ammo that didn't cycle in mine was a lower FPS Winchester. But staying above 1230fps..any should work well. Clean your...

K 22 Masterpiece cylinder release question

Every so often the cylinder on my K-22 hangs up during release, and it takes a little more than normal pressure to open the cylinder. The release button seems ok, could there be a small burr on the cylinder plunger that seats when closed.(although I don't see or feel any burr). When I manually...

K-22 or Model 17 not sure age or model

Thanks to both of you for quick reply. And there are no other markings in the 'yoke' cut. I've included another photo of the back of stock/grip. They also fit down lower over the frame bottom so you have to remove them to see the ser#. But these grips feel great in hand. This is a great site, I...

K-22 or Model 17 not sure age or model

I recently aquired this S&W 22lr. revolver. I believe it to be a K-22 or a Model 17 (not sure which is proper name). It has a 6 in barrel and adjustable rear sight. Under the grips on the frame is the Ser# K 299xxx The grips are not diamond cut but I do believe them to be original for the gun...
