I told the guy bought it from I thought it was late 60s. So I was pretty much right on. I've been wanting one of these for quite a while now. Just took the grips off and they match The serial number. Very excited

Yeah it's just about perfect. I took the cylinder off and there was no sign of gunpowder like most used revolvers I've bought. Maybe unfired. But I'm gonna shoot it lots. It's my new everyday carry. Replacing my 1952 colt cobra and sig 938. Well the 938 stays in the car but the 19 goes...
Don't worry I was looking at my 19 I had just bought and then noticed a crack in the frame under the barrel. Then realized that's the side the cylinder opens up on. Duh. I felt like a dope. I'm glad I didn't tell anyone. Ah shoot!

Years ago when I was young and dumb I polished my model 65. I looked great, looked almost nickel except it didn't have the yellow tint nickel has. However now that I'm a little older I wish I would have left it alone. How can I return it to its original look? Soda blasting? Or maybe walnut? But...
It's funny you posted this because when this revolver was for sale I was thinking it was fake. I even did some searching on fake labels after seeing it. It just looked too white and in the same handwriting

I've been wanting a 2.5" 19 for quite awhile. Friday I got off work early and went to the LGS. They have had a 2.5" 19 for a little while for $699 but the side plate was a little buggered up so I passed on it. As soon as I walked in the door I was handed a different 2.5" 19 without even asking...
