Sometimes you just got to say “Oh Well”

Recently I have gotten to know a guy at work who I found out is a gun guy and a re-loader. He told me about his father’s collection and told me that he was a Colt 1911 guy and that he had inherited a number of Colts and Smith from his Dad. He knew I have a pristine Colt 70 Series 1911 Gold Cup...

How about a Veteran’s Guns Memorial Day Thread…….

My Dad' was not offical as he wanted one of his own to keep after he retired. He bought this one a t a gun store outside of Langley AFB in VA which was his last posting before he retired. I beleive the offical one had a USAF OSI stamp of some kind.

Do these grips make me look fat?

I know what you mean, the target stocks make a gun with a 4" or less barrel look like the back end is bigger than the front end. But, I really dislike the way Hogues look on any gun. I am sure, if you look around, you can find some functional targets that are "lookers" too. Like Kurac's...

    Your Mentor, who were/are they?

My Dad was a Marine Corps DI (hence my user name) and then when into the USAF for a total of 28 years. At the age of 8 years old he weaned me off of BB and pellet guns to a Colt 45 Government model. Over the years, he taught me to shoot all manner of firearms. He was my Hero as well as my...

Primers at the SF Cow Palace Gun Show

Today I attended the quarterly gun show at the Cow Palace in Daly City (close to SF). When ever I go, my goal is reloading supplies and I was able to pick up 3 lbs of powder because I waked in the door 5 min after they opened. There were no primers where I bought the powder but the guy said that...

    Winchester LP Primer question…..

Interesting .....in my missfires, there is a light dent. The ones that fire show a deep dent.
