    I had a 627 cylinder re-honed for 9mm. All of the 929 moonclips I buy are slightly too big. Is the moonclip cut on the 929 slightly bigger then the 627?

    +1 on Stippling. You can do it yourself (it isn't that tough) or hire it out. I've used tapes in the past but they all eventually wear and peel. Sleeves seemed to increase the grip diameter too much for my liking. Here's how mine turned out.

    I ended up with a mag dropper, mag released on every round fired. Didn't make a difference if there are 7 or 1 in the magazine. Sent her back to S&W got a new mag catch and "bump" magazine. Haven't had a failure yet Serial number DXV9XXX
