Here is one dolled up
I'm giving serious thought into sending mine off to have it polished up like that one. At $175 its not great but isn't that bad either.
The gun in the pic isn't a 627 but is a Pro gun so he said in the email.
I think Promo will replace Red Dot as they are one in the same from what I've read.
Please not Herco...... a normal year I go threw 2 8lbs kegs of Herco. I use it in 12ga, 20ga, 28ga, 44mag, 357mag and 45lc.
Love that powder
I also just bought a new 627 with great disappointment, in QC from S&W.

Take a look at post #4, this is my first Smith and Wesson firearm ever and I'm woundering if I made a mistake by not buying another...
Was clean the gun and found something I really didn't care for.
The forcing cone looks bad and at the end of the barrel there is a rolled over lip. You can see were my patch hung up on the lip.
Was able to get a good pic of the crown.
Thinking about send it back due to the forcing cone...
Ran a 100 rounds threw it, shot GREAT I'll clean it and see what the crown looks like.
Did 18 rounds at 15 yards single action could cover them all with a 50 cent piece.
Ran 64 at 10 yard and had a big hole were the X ring was.
I'm happy with the gun.

Just got my new 627 about 30 mins ago looks great but the crown. Seen other posts about the same issue. I'll be heading to the range in an hour to see how it shoots.
Deluxe Moon Clip Tool
Clint, is fast to answer questions if you have any. I sent my MO out for the moon clip tool and moon clips. I look forward to receiving my order and using them both in conjunction with my 627 pro.
As for CC I don't plan on carrying extra clips when/if I carry it.

I've got a new 627 Pro on the way. This is my first smith and not sure what I need to check over before taking it to the range.
Cyclinder gap .004~.008" ?
Anything else or any other tips?
Thanks Robert
Hello all,
My first S&W is on the way, a 627Pro should be a nice introduction into S&W ownership.
Been shooting and reloading for over 20 years. I've done some competition shooting over years and might do it again with the 627.
