    Yes, I believe you will need a riser. I just added a primary arms 30mm red dot to mine and used a riser. After looking at the scope it appears to be of similar height. In order to clear the front sight, a riser will be required.

    Ammo is still tough to find in Walmart in Central PA. It's hit or miss. I have actually seen some .44 mag on the shelves for once. Ammo seems to be in stock at places like Gander Mt. but the prices will make you think twice. I to am a reloader and haven't had much of an issue buying components...

    How much do you pay?

    I ordered SD ammo from ammunition depot. Their prices were decent on a 50 round box of .40 180 Federal HST's (33.87) considering Cabela's wants $27.99 for the same ammo in a 20 round box. They also a good variety of 9mm and 45 ACP, mostly SD Ammo. Shipping isn't too salty......
