Thanks for the input. There are a couple "ringers" at the range so maybe I'll hit them up directly. I don't see anything outside the "Basic Pistol" classes within 50 miles of me (St. Louis) but maybe I'll do it and see what it's worth (with the side benefit of CCW in every place but Saturn).
So I've been shooting for about a year and a half now and would like to take a class to learn marksman type skills to increase my accuracy. What would be the best way to go about this? The NRA pistol classes appear to be geared more toward conceal and carry/defense classes. Besides shooting...
I have the Ergo grip in OD. Yes the lip sticks out a bit but not bothersome. Can't speak to the Hogue but the Ergo has been good to me in both summer (sweaty palms) and winter (low bulk gloves). Also holds AA's in the grip like most do (mine came with a plug).
How do you guys clean your brush (toothbrush in my case) that you use to clean your guns with? Soap and water or something else? I have so much old CLP on it that I feel the brush is making the gun just as dirty as it was before. Also do any of you clean down in the trigger spring area...
Says it's 8 oz. How noticeable would that be? I have AFG, Magul XTM covers, and PA M4-would this be getting to heavy? Also if I have the stock flash supressor how would this attach?
I have a PA M4 and love it. Tried the Eotech but didn't like the reticle. The red dot on the M4 is small enough not to occlude the target and the brightness adjustment makes it practical for both indoor and outdoor.
"Instead of the UTG grip, get the Magpul MOE rail version grip--$20 or so and more solid. The folding grips wiggle at the hinge point."
+1 Or Magpul AFG. Also consider the Magpul PTS BUS-alot cheaper and sound just as functional.
