Some people have asked for side by side pics of the .223 with the .300 Blackout. For those of u unfamiliar the only difference between .223/5.56 and .300 blackout is the "barrel". Everything else is exactly the same when it comes to the weapon.
This is a picture comparing the 2 cartridges to one another. The .223 on the left @ 55gr and the .300 Blackout on the right @ 110gr. This is a .300 blackout supersonic round, designed to be used without a suppressor. There are heavier loads that go to about 220gr also.
My .223/5.56 has now retired to my "sissy" round that will only be used at the range for cheaper plinking. It's like shooting both my 9mm barrel and my .40 barrel in my .40 Shield, lol.
