Installing sights. How much for the service?

I am looking to get night sights or fiberoptic sights for my Shield. I am in no way even remotely comfortable doing it myself. Have any of you ever had a gunsmith do it? What did they charge? How long did it take? Did it leave any marks on the slide?

I paid $30 labor at Impact Guns in Ogden Utah to have my XS Big Dot night sights installed. Best $30 investment.

I do it myself, but I have had a pusher for 10+ years now. Some shops will replace the sights if you purchased the sights from them, others charge $25.

The <$150 investment in the pusher has more than paid for itself (for me)

Do they assure they are zeroed in if you gave them installed? At least as close as stock?

I will do it for free if you bring it over.

The Shield is not a precision gun. Getting the new sights in the same placeas the old ones is goog enough.

My LGS did my sights, Apex DCAEK and Poly trigger for $35. I dropped it off Sunday and it was ready Tuesday. No marks on the side.

My local gunsmith charges $15 to put on new sights. He is also charging me either $40 or $35 (I don't remember which one) to put in an Apex DCAEK kit and polish everything inside.

I paid a shop $65 to put night sights on my M&P 45. The front dove tail was pretty darn tight. Tried it myself on another set on my 9. Not pretty. what I paid Heinie to do it right, which included the cost of a new front sight was what I would have paid for sight pusher tool.

I am hoping if I can get ahold of a set and have them installed fairly quick.

I paid $45 to get some Ameriglo idots on my 9c. I probably could have found somewhere cheaper but I trust my LGS despite their high prices.

I didn't get a chance to look around today. May call around tomorrow.
