My Freedom Arms Revolvers

Very nice. Looking for one even more after seeing yours.
There's a couple of dealers on Guns America that have them trickling in every month or so . I just got the 83 two days ago .

They are absolute works of art. I've been drooling over them for years. Not for sale here in MA. Once I retire and move to a gun friendly state one of those are the first thing on my "to buy" list. Thanks for showing.

No single action wheelies allowed there? Really?

Nice revolvers and they are built like a tank.
Now you need the "King" the .454 Casull

Chuck

Those are beauties, maybe the finest revolvers on the planet. Certainly the finest I've ever actually handled. I may be just a little biased though. I ordered my 4 3/4" .454 Premier Grade Model 83 with an extra .45ACP cylinder and have had it about 15 years. I had no real reason to buy one, other than I'd handled a couple and was amazed at the build quality. There are more powerful revolvers now, but doubt any are more accurate, or built to a higher standard than these.....ymmv

Those "Submit guns to be tested" State laws like those in Maine and Kalif should be declared unconstitutional...

Think about it, they could start testing cars, tennis shoes, freezers tires, icecream, etc...

Why do the people in those states let that happen???

I seem to remember some Drama over a little tax on tea a "few" years ago...

I have had the opportunity to shoot a .454 Casull on several occasions and since then am impressed with FA revolvers.

I rate the quality on par with my Korths.

Among the states with crazy gun laws, in the case of single actions California is OK. They are not regulated, not tested, and don't have to be on the roster of approved handguns. You can pretty much buy any single action with the exception of some very short snubbies.

Also, I recently found there was an exemption on magazine size restrictions for level actions. Don't know the details.

Do you have a 9mm cylinder for your 357? I'd like to get a 97 with one.

No I don't . They are available but to me a 9mm revolver just isn't right .

I have had this 500 Wyoming Express 83 Premier Grade for many years.

That rounded butt is there for a reason.

I was on a lookout for a 10" 44 Mag Silhouette model... but ran into a pair of little used guns where I happen to know the history of the guns.

They are both with a 6" barrel, a Premier Grade 500 Wyoming Express with black micarta grips and a Field Grade 454 Casull with a silly rubber grip.

I got the pair for a really nice price, each for the price of a new Ruger Blackhawk. It is not a hard choice to make between a new Blackhawk or a nominally used Freedom Arms. I have two Rugers bought new and both have issues with cylinder throat diameter and I cannot make them shoot accurately - there are no such issues with Freedom Arms.

These boys will be pressed into IHMSA (silhouette) duties. I already have guns in 500 WE and 454 Casull so I have all the reloading tools and components. Now the only problem is the delay getting permits for them so I can fetch them from the store.
