Reading today, I came across a reference to bacon and egg martinis. Googling it, I came across a number of references and and different recipes.

Here is one of the more amusing references:

"...The quality of cocktails and imaginative breadth of the menu will mean you will never get bored. One of my favourites is the signature Bacon & Egg Martini, a frothy creamy bacon infused bourbon expertly blended with maple syrup, egg white and lemon. It is garnished with the tastiest strip of cured bacon and sometimes with a Haribo egg planted on top. It messes with your head to have the combination of sweet, sour and salty flavours but trust me it so works...."

In Estonia, some girls said they were going to have martinis. It turned out that they meant the Martini & Rossi vermouth by itself, over ice or mixed with mineral water.

I tried the bacon flavored vodka,,, it was horrible !!!!! Tried giving the bottle to my kids to get rid of it, (their legal age) they wouldn't take it.

I notiiced that several stores in my area have those awful flavored Vodka's in their markdown bins. I tried a bottle once(blueberry I think) and that was enough for me.

Kind of reminds me of a jelly donut filled with Vicks Salve! I
They're real sweet and open up your sinuses! Yum!

I had to make Alex a concoction that ostensibly was the recipe of the Czar: horseradish vodka. I chopped up horseradish root, some ginger root, added cinnamon, vanilla and a clove, and steeped it all in 153 proof grain alcohol for a week. Strained it, added honey, let it sit another week and then poured it off.

It was medicinal and strong by itself but made a great Bloody Mary!

A buddy of mine is Lithuanian. Not Estonian, but close enough!
He swears this is an old Lithuanian tradition, I yell BS!
Get a big bottle of 100 proof vodka. Remove enough to add a pound of black pepper balls.
Put into a dark closet until the pepper dissolves.
Pour one shot of pepper mixture into another bottle of vodka.
Line up your victims so everybody in the room can see them. Give them a shot of the enhanced vodka and a slice of lemon.
Then place a teaspoon of ground coffee right out of the can on the lemon.
Toast, drink, bite the lemon. Get coffee between your teeth.
God I hate that! No wonder the Russians keep invading them.

Who thinks up this ****? Whatever happened to just sitting around with a bunch of friends over a few bottles of cold beer?

I can think of a lot more uses for bacon that a are whole lot better than mixing it with booze.

I just LOVE Tallinn, Estonia, and the "girls" there. They have some great drinking establishments. Two of my favorites were Scotland Yard and The Ice Bar.

Bacon & egg martini?

An abomination to call it a martini. GIN AND VERMOUTH is a martini, nothing else, not even vodka.

Actualy you just THINK about vermouth while you shake the gin. But your on the right track......Well vodkas OK in a pinch
