Suspenders

I been wearing Welch's Ergonomic Safety S'penders for years.
Velcro belt loops don't let go and are completely flat. You don't know they are there.

I buy undergarment suspenders from Holdup Suspender Company. They are made out of a ACE bandage type material, and are worn next to the skin, so you don't have to tuck your shirt in. Very comfortable. I despise wearing a belt.
The downside is i have just started carrying a 642 airweight and they are just barely able to handle the extra weight.
I found this thread searching for a shoulder holster rig that would be comfortable to wear next to the skin under a t-shirt.

I sometimes carry a mod-95 Remington derringer in a vintage Lawrence holster that was made for it. the belt loop on the holster slides right on my wide suspenders and is hidden with a vest or coat. looks cool, try it you will like it...................................M*

I pack a "44" so I need extra support since a belt does not cut it any more with the front porch that has been added over the years.

1" works for a few hours at church .......but for a full day I need the 2" wide with a heavy duty clasp that will hold up.
I hate it when I bend over and..... "POW" one lets go with the1" type.

I wear either the "X" or the "Y" type but the HD is usually the "X" type and the other style for the dress suspenders.

I tried a belt but things go South on me..................

I'll second the Duluth Trading side clip models, really helps carry the load and is way more "Dunlap" friendly than the regular design.

If I remember right old John Wesley Hardin got his gun hung up once in his suspenders. You need to be sure that you won't have a handful of suspender when you are reaching for your gat. That being said I recently had stomach surgery and can't deal with a tight belt so I have a slightly loose belt to hold the holster on and suspenders to hold the pants up. It works.

"Perry Suspenders" are the only ones that work. Hook on belt, easy to attach, adjust & even remove. Check it out.

I buy the Perry at Walmart, less expensive than the Perry website. I also wear a very heavy Boston Leather belt that has never allowed the hooks to slip off.

Thankfully I don't have any of that noassatall affliction. I carry close to half my weight in my legs & behind. I say "thankfully" because my build means I have less dunlop and look a lot slimmer than than most guys in my weight bracket.

But I've always liked suspenders and am seriously thinking of starting to wear them again. Those Duluth Trading Company side clip suspenders look really good.

I like those Perry suspenders, $9 and change at Walmart. They have plastic hooks to hook under a belt. Helps with hip problems by spreading the weight to your shoulders.A couple of us dyed the natural-color leather back plate black to match the elastic and plastic hardware and used them with our duty belts.

I wear them with my duty belt now
