Eagle Secret Service grips work great with speed loaders, and are good feeling boot grips to me.

That's interesting. I have a set of Eagle Secret Service grips that don't work with my Safariland Comp I speedloaders. My grips are twentysomething years old so I wonder if the design has changed since then.

Does anyone know if the Altamont boot grips (wood) have enough clearance for use with the HKS speed loaders as they come from ordering straight off of the website or do you have to specify this when you order them? Thanks...

Have Pachmayr Compacts on a M640 Pro and could not get HKS loader to useably work at all.

That happened to me also. I have Two pair. One pair I had to grind down and the other pair works fine. I didn't buy them New so I don't know if the centennial models are different or what. I believe if you use Hogue Tamers you need to buy for the corect model. I tried my 442 Hogue Tamer Grips on my 36 and they did not fit in the hammer are.

I often carry my 431PD in 32 H&R magnum and before getting it I sometimes carried a 31-1 in 32 S&W Long.

One interesting fact is the HKS speedloader for 32 caliber cartridges are a little bit smaller in diameter than the HKS 38 special loaders.

I have hogue Bantams on the 431PD and the stock Magna wood grips on the 31-1.

In both cases the HKS speedloaders work fine.

yes they have, if they have a cut more like the s&w football with a lip at the front they are not speed loader friendly, the new ones work great
