That's not a knife..THIS is a knife !!!!!

Machetes to me are in a whole different category to “big knives”. They are actually useful around the yard. I think of machetes generally having blades over 10”for serious yard work. Big knives up to 10-11” are more just for fun, or for when packing and portability are an issue.

The Condor 13” golok has been my best chopper, while the Baryonyx machete is effective against a wider range of smaller vegetation.

I just stick with the ol reliable USMC Kbar fighting knife. Its the only knife I really need. Ive got one brand new one and a very well used one. Both have excellent sharp blades and they seem to stay sharp for a long time. Other than that if you really want to know what a real knife is that would make Crocodile Dundee piss his pantaloons Im a big fan of another military combat knife the ol Kukri. Its a knife that can handle just about any job with relative ease. Ive got one Gurkha Nepalese Army blade and another Condor blade that loves to make mince meat out of large fire logs with ease. Its my favorite camping tool! Its great for zombies that wonder into the camp site too...

My carry.......

Up here this is my winter carry because of wearing a coat, but being summer I leave the sheathed S&W beside my console in the Jeep, I think it’s 16” or 18”, nice knife.
