3 INCHES

Ladysmith 3 inch:

My primary concealed carry revolvers have all been 3" guns since 1986.... first a 65. I bobbed hammer & magna-ported it;added Pachmayr Compac Professional grips; to be like all the "Cool Kids" writing in the "Gun Rags".......

In 88 I got my first 3" 66..... skipped the Cool Kids stuff ; just polished the action and added Spegel Boot Grips..............

Somewhere around the turn of the Century I found a used three inch 60-10 .357 ... Micro-686.... again added Spegel Extended Boot grip.

I've got 2 1/2 and 4 inch 19/66s K-frames but the 3 inch guns are what gets carried.

Isn't a better concealed carry combo than a 3" 66 wearing Spegel Boot Grips!

My favorite since 1988!!! 66-3.

Couldn't agree with you more... :)

Spegels are the best grips for a defensive/carry revolver.

Here's a serious carry K-Frame, a Lew Horton (Performance Center) M19-7..... (This is the only other model I've seen that sports that sexy PC bobbed hammer, like the Quad Port M13's)

Wait a 66-3 with a comp? I thought the PC comp'ed guns were late 90s.

I remember seeing the 3" PC guns in a couple of shops and was disappointed to see the comp's. I had magna-ported a 3" 65 in the mid-80s which didn't do much with +P.38s which is what I generally carried in a K-frame. If I wanted full bore .357s I'd grab a 3'' 586 L-frame I had at the time.

But truth be told the K-frames were easier to carry all day and +P.38 HPs are more than adequate in an urban environment..... the 586 eventually got traded for a PC Shorty-9
