Decided to try some old N frame Fitz " StaGrip" shoes on a recently acquired 624, I like the look, you?

With the magna type grips, I find that a Tyler T grip helps soften recoil with heavier loads. The other thing that I personally like about them is that they look great on my 624.

And they do!! Very nice...

I would need more bottom end grip than front, but we all come in different sizes. :D

Very nice! Can you conceal that?!

Probably not, but I am more of an open carry guy, so I don't really know. I can see now how the adapter would help in a carry situation. Thanks

And if it is a round butted revolver it shows even less.

In the looks dept it’s definitely a winner. How’s the balance and shooting with those grips?

Every hand is different. My similar sized mountain gun with round butt operates best in my hands with a pachmayr grip which covers the backstrap. Looks awful but shoots and feels great. Mostly for me it’s a balance thing. Different grips will give a different balance feel. The same grips on a heavier barreled N frame don’t shoot and balance as well for me.

The stainless revolver in my post is a Mountain Gun with rb/sb conversion stocks.

Those 624s are beautiful! I really don't like you guys. I have a 629 because I simply could not find a 24 and the one I did find was priced so far out of my range I could've bought three or four 629s. SO jealous....

I feel your pain! :D

But, my 624 is/was a sub $1K gun just recently, pretty sure I paid more for my 29.

When I get nervous looking at the checkbook, I sell one of the guns I was in love with way back when, so if prices keep going up, I'll probably die with an H&R 732 (which I love btw)

There's absolutely no reason to own a M24 in .44 Special considering the M29 does all that AND much more, yet, with decent hand loads the .44 Special delivers ample mid-range power in a lighter, leaner, more elegant looking package compared to the more brutish "shoulders" of the M29!

There are a ton of us that don't want to carry the extra weight of a M29 or M629. A warm loaded .44 Special will handle the majority of my handgunning needs.
