NE OHIO BUNCH Spring 2025 Meeting

My table will have nothing to display, everything on table will be for selling. I've come to the conclusion to reduce my stuff, not getting out this stuff, just reducing.
Will have 'weaponry', ammo, components of powders & brass, and misc. Would rather pass the stuff at good prices to 'bunchers' than selling at shows.
Ammo will have 380acp fmj range ammo, 10mm fmj range ammo, much CCI mini-mag 22lr.

Found some 44 mag factory ammo.

BUMMER!

My range announced the clean up day for April 26! Work comes before play. So, I won't be able to attend the bunch this Spring. Hope to see most of you at the OGCA in June, at the IX Center

BIG BUMMER! I can't give you a "like" on your post...Sorry to see that you cannot attend Bo...always look forward to seeing you at the "Bunch"...yes will probably be at OGCA in June at IX Center...Roger

Range clean up starts at 8:00. If it rains that day I will be able to go to the Bunch. Since the clean up Day will move to Sunday if that happens. Maybe, l can sneak out a little early. Won't be able to set up a table. But, it would be nice to visit with everybody.

Marxman in Madison. Yes, it is an outdoor range. 100, and 200 yard range for rifle. A 50 yard range for straight wall rifle, shotgun, and pistol. A pistol range to 25 yards, and a clay bird thrower. Also some archery stuff. That is never used! It is a nice range. I have been a member for 45 years now. Where does the time go?

Not sure what's going on Saturday with Berea. Got a deal on a used Pardini SP with an Ultra Dot red dot mounted and a total of 6-5 round magazines. All original box/paper work is there. About 2500 rounds through it and inspected/serviced at Camp Perry by Pardini a few years ago. Comes with an extra left hand grip, I will keep the original right hand grip for shooting. May go pick it up at the club and make some adjustments and shoot it some. So It will be ready for the Tuesday morning retired guys shoot.

Just an accurate plinker. Not the gun in the picture but very close to it. Excited, Larry

We probably just missed you Larry. Showed several people our potential sale, but all offers were too low, and didn't love any potential purchases, so we try again at the next show...but that's half the fun.

A model 10 with a 4" PPC barrel made by Andy Horvath. Has Altamont Roper style grips with great grain, not the grips in the picture. Larry

For fellow S&WCA members, what a pleasant surprise to see that Rex submitted an article about our little NE Ohio bunch gathering that got published in the recent Journal which I received today!!! As the Journal is for members only (if you're reading this please consider joining) I can't share the article but Rex describes it accurately as a fun time seeing old friends and meeting new ones at a small venue with very high quality S&Ws on display. He also made two additional statements that I agree with 100%. First, if you want a fine Italian dinner the night before you must try Nino's!! Second, for a one day show, he was disappointed that people started to take down shortly after noon as this is too soon especially if you've traveled from out of state. We only get together twice a year so let's try to prolong the fun please!!! Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones just as Rex mentioned!!

I agree that starting to end at noon is too early, but some displayers need to be out as other commitments for them exist. When one displayer has to pack up to leave, it puts in the mind of the others 'we're starting to end ?'.
This year we're competing with the Berea show, should be the first big warmer weather show with the 3 big buildings being used.
With Saturdays being the more crowded day for shows, I could imagine that some would hit the show first and then come to the 'bunch' which would mean a longer open time would help them. And then I could imagine some would come to the 'bunch' first and then hit the show. So the 'bunch' visitors could be spread out over a longer time period.
Also it allows for longer nap time for me on the sofas.

I would have no problem staying till 3.

EDIT: contacted the Berea promoter and the April show will not be in the larger 3 buildings but still in the cold weather 3 smaller buildings. Evidently there were too many vendor complaints about switching to the other buildings while weather was still cool.

That's fantastic about Rex mentioning our group, hopefully give it a boost in attendance. Always hoped everyone would not tear down early and stay a little longer. It always was a day to meet new collectors and was amazed at how far people travelled to attend. I never imagined the Bunch would grow to what it became over the years. Since the virus in 2020, we are taking a hit in attendance.

The one bunch Bob was traveling across Pennsylvania from Philadelphia and called me the night before saying he was on his way to attend, I got nervous hoping he would enjoy himself.

It has always been a good mix of SWCA Members and Forum Members enjoying each other and the S&W's we love. A lot of friendships have started here.

Rex, if you read this give me a like. Thanks for the mention in the SWCA Journal. You always have been a stand up person and amazed to see you last September. Larry

Too bad about the OGCA, not a current member. Larry and
